Programme Details

B.Pharmacy is an undergraduate four years course (approved by PCI) which is a pre-requisite for registration to practice as a pharmacist. It imparts skills to work in industry, clinical set ups, drug control organizations, education and research sectors in pharmaceuticals

Admission criteria

Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Maths) or equivalent.

For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium.

(5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants)

  • PO5 : Problem analysis :  Understand and analyze the applied aspects of the pharma science after being equipped with the sound knowledge of basic subjects like anatomy, physiology, mathematics and chemistry

  • PO6 : Pharmacist and society : Apply the concept of community pharmacy for health and safety to human being

  • PO7 : Life-long learning : Acquire knowledge regarding adverse effects and usage of drugs

  • PO8 : Scientific approach : Use the acquired practical skills in the synthesis, analysis, formulation, quality assurance and promotion & marketing of pharmaceutical products

  • PO9 : Evaluation : Acquire ability to evaluate the physico-chemical parameters of drugs and other bioactive molecules
